Ramblin' with Jack

Courtesy of folk legend Ramblin' Jack Elliott, the One Mouth Band made a special appearance at Mill Valley's Sweetwater Saloon last night (thanks, Jack!). Performing for folk-loving fans in cowboy boots was never so much fun! The standing-room-only crowd loved the One Mouth Band's funkified version of "Fly Like an Eagle."

We Won! We Won!

Well, it wasn't first prize, but it still felt like it. This year The Irrationals took Third Place in the 19th Annual Bay Area Harmony Sweepstakes Competition in addition to winning the Best Original Song Award for "Show Me the Way" (written by bass singer Eric Farmer). Every group was great, and many were impressed with Sam's vocal percussion skills. The afterglow in the lobby was almost as much fun as the performance itself, as the devoted audience crowded around the lobby listening to encore performances from most of the evening's groups, plus an appearance by the One Mouth Band.
