Singing into Spring with the One Mouth Band
Spring is here and the One Mouth Band is happily tending to his musical garden. There are some hearty plants taking root, and quite a few promising new shoots coming up!
PLANNING FUTURE HARVESTS
This just in! A One Mouth Band European tour is currently forming for the end of July through mid-August! The Vokal Total festival in Graz, Austria was the first to confirm.

On the local level, Sam is performing as The One Mouth Band at this year's Fairfax Music Festival (June 6th), and with The Irrationals at several local benefits, churches, and awards ceremonies. See http://calendar.yahoo.com/onemouthband and http://www.The-Irrationals.com/performances for more.
RECENT FRUITS
The One Mouth Band had a great time in the studio working on Levi's TV commercials with his Dad, slide-guitarist and producer Roy Rogers, and legendary turntablist DJ Qbert (Wave Twisters, The Invisible Scratch Pickles). You can listen to one of their 30-second spots by visiting the "Files" section of the One Mouth Band Yahoo!Group. Unfortunately, due to the advertising agency's change in direction, this commercial will not be on a television set near you. But the seed has been planted, and there is talk of these artists working together again to fuse blues and hip-hop into something altogether funky!
The One Mouth Band was the featured guest artist at a show with the improv comedy group "The Original Action Pack." Sam improvised his way through a few numbers to keep with the theme of the evening. This also marked the first US performance of a new One Mouth Band cover, Jimi Hendrix's "Foxy Lady"which had the whole audience laughing and singing along.
Sam recently sat in with pianist Judy Hall and bassist Espen at the Two Bird Café. He enjoyed performing several jazz standards with the duo, as well as a few solo pieces as the One Mouth Band. This dinner show with Judy and Espen closed with Sam doing a mean duet with guest vocalist Richard Kalman (Con Alma).
The Irrationals were very well received at The Espresso Garden Café last month, opening up the possibility for future performances at this San Jose venue. Sam's vocal percussion dropped a few jaws, as usual.

The One Mouth Band is currently working on several exciting, new projects! Here are a few you can expect to hear more about in the near future:
- Preparing for and recording the next live, solo, a cappella One Mouth Band CD.
- Launching an original One Mouth Band product line.
- Working on instructional media project(s).
- Writing original material and developing new arrangements for the One Mouth Band, The Irrationals, and more.
- Exploring new live performance concepts/opportunities, both as the One Mouth Band and in collaboration with some great partners.
