"By George, It's War!" in the News

With two performances left, it's great to see the local press raving about "By George, It's War!", the new anti-Bush musical satire about the invasion of Iraq. Click to see what The San Francisco Chronicle had to say. The Pacific Sun, The Point Reyes Light, and The Coastal Post also had some very favorable words to share (just not online). Sam Rogers is part of a cast of nine singing and dancing activists in "By George, It's War!" , playing 8PM this Wednesday and Thursday at the 142 Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley. Tickets cost $20; $15 for students and seniors. Call the box office at (415) 383-9600 or visit 142throckmortontheatre.com for tickets and other info. If you plan to vote for Bush on November 2nd, you probably wouldn’t enjoy this show. If you’re leaning towards the “Un-Bush”, come on out and you’ll have a great time!

By George, it's a success!

Last Saturday was the opening of the new musical about the invasion of Iraq, "By George, It's War!". Sam Rogers and the eight other singing and dancing activists in the cast were happy with their performance and the standing-room-only turnout! The crowd laughed, cried, and rose for a standing ovation when it was over! Many people in the audience spoke of their tears in Sam's "Peace March" scene, as well as the sweet and funny duet "I'm So Dumb Around You" between Sam and another cast member in Act Two. Sam also made an appearance as The One Mouth Band, debuting his new song "You Got a Voice" in funky splendor. Come see "By George, It's War!" for yourself on October 27th or 28th at the 142 Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley. Tickets cost $20; $15 for students and seniors. Call the box office at (415) 383-9600 or visit 142throckmortontheatre.com for tickets and other info.

Irrationals tonight OR ELSE!

Tonight is The Irrationals last local, public performance in their current lineup! If you're thinking you can just catch them next time, think again! Eric Farmer, bass singer with the group for the last two years, is leaving. We are very sorry to see him go and have enjoyed his creative/songwriting contributions, musical sensibilities, playful presence, and of course his smooth and strong voice. Naturally we all want to give him the best sendoff we can, so... GET THEE TO OUR SHOW! Tonight at Club Waziema at 8:00PM! The One Mouth Band will be performing as well.
