Family Time

For the first time in a long while, Sam will be traveling without performing along the way for the next few weeks. It's time to make the pilgramage back to visit 103-year-old Great-Grandma and other relatives and friends in Arkansas, Florida, & Marlyand. Come back in August for more One Mouth Band updates!

"Bridges" Concert with Rhiannon

This weekend Sam delighted to have the opportunity to participate in a workshop by Rhiannon (of Bobby McFerrin's Voicestra and formerly SoVoSo fame). Entitled "Bridges...Exploring Performance and Healing", this intimate two-day workshop will culminate with a Sunday evening performance sharing amongst workshop participants and guests. If you're interested in coming, please email for directions.

Great fun at La Peña

Last Thursday's concert at La Peña Cultural Center in Berkeley went great! Thanks to all who turned up for this event! Opening the show as The One Mouth Band, Sam did a fun medley and then wowed the crowd with a live looping cover of Los Lobos' "Can't Stop The Rain". Then with The Irrationals, Sam debuted his double-mic approach that's really working for their new 5-voice configuration. RoShamBo was as tight and smooth as ever for their CD release, and Sam was happy to sit in on vocal percussion for their last few jazz-funk tunes. Hopfully this is just the beginning of working with RoShamBo!
