Tickets! Get'cha tickets! Sam & SoVoSó tickets here!
The good news is that the advanced sales have been strong for this year's Mixed Nutz. The bad news is that if you want the best seating on a specific night, you need to purchase now!
As posted previously, this will be Sam Rogers' first time performing with the legendary SoVoSó. Here's a bit more about the show which takes place in Watsonville's Mello Center For The Performing Arts on December 2nd, 3rd, & 4th.
MIXED NUTZ! - The Nutcracker REmixed is an untraditional holiday tradition, directed by California's circus and dance maestro, Tandy Beal. Tchaikovsky's glorious music is sung a cappella by California's stellar vocal group, SoVoSó. Live onstage with Beal's cast of dancers and circus artists, SoVoSó makes vocal magic as we instantly wrap ourselves up in Beal's multicolored vision, tied with a ribbon of zaniness. Comedy juggling, aerialists, rhythmic gymnastics, contortionists, and comic high speed acrobatics make this show tremendously interesting and entertaining for all ages.Celebrate this Thanksgiving weekend, when MIXED NUTZ! -The Nutcracker REmixed! brings Tandy Beal's dazzling performers, Tchaikovsky's gorgeous music and the brilliant vocal talents of SoVoSó to your family.

Concert Review at LiveJournal.com
Here are some kind words from a friend of the One Mouth Band about yesterday's concert and recording session. You can read the original post at LiveJournal.com.
100% Organic Human Sound™ Pinkie and I had a wonderful opportunity to see an old friend of mine perform today in Emeryville. I've known Sam since high school and he's a good friend to both my brother (his class actually) and I. He's a wonderful singer and a heck of an acapellist. In his performances, he does "100% organic human sound". It's something you really ought to see- his website can be found here, incluing samples of his work. Beside, how can you say no to Instrument Maintence Floss™?

One Mouth Band @ Point Reyes Farmer's Market CANCELLED!
Of all the farmer's markets in all the country, how many are certified ALL organic and ALL locally produced? Well, there's Point Reyes Station, and... Are there any others? Certainly once you add the layer of serving 100% Organic Human Music this Saturday, there can only be one! Why not make a day of it and head out to the coast this weekend? Stop by the Farmer's Market between 9AM and 1PM, hear the One Mouth Band, pick up some great picnic food, head out to the beach or the lighthouse and take in some of the California coast's natural beauty!

MarinIJ's Best Bet!
One Mouth Band
The idea of a "One Mouth Band" goes against common sense. Sam Rogers calls it organic human music; he relies on only himself and a microphone to do it all. Rogers is his own bass, guitar, horns, drums and percussion and he and his "band" perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at the San Geronimo Valley Community Center.
Rogers is working on a book called "How to Be a One-Man Band: Learn to Fit 50 Instruments in Your Mouth!" and his second album "100% Organic Human Music."
The community center is at 6350 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. in San Geronimo Valley. Tickets are $8 general and $5 children and seniors. Half of the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina victims. Call 488-8888 or visit www.sgvcc.org.

Ta Ke Ti What?
Yesterday Sam was accepted into an international rhythm training/healing program called TaKeTiNa. This three-year program starts next March and will result in a TaKeTiNa Instructor certification and a lot more musical skill! Expect it to start showing up in One Mouth Band shows next year.
In the meantime, there's a CD to make!
